The 2026 edition of the Africa Eco Race has just concluded, a very tough rally that took the riders from Morocco to the legendary Pink Lake in Dakar. In this epic setting, Alessandro Botturi once again confirmed his value, delivering a solid and hard fought performance from start to finish.
The rider from Lumezzane opened the edition with an extraordinary performance, winning the first real special stage of the year, completed in 2h24’04’’. He dominated both the overall classification and the twin‑cylinder category, immediately setting the pace of the competition.
Despite some technical difficulties in the central stages of the rally, Botturi reacted with experience, staying constantly among the leading group and contributing to the overall strength of the Yamaha team.
At the end of the last timed stage, he finished the Africa Eco Race in seventh place overall, in an edition marked by extremely tight competition at the top.
